Dessert or breakfast? Here's a Healthy Gluten Free Guilt Free Treat

We all get a sweet tooth sometimes and that`s OK. I love having fruit when I get a sweet craving. Sometimes, you want a little more though!

For the past few years since I did a detox diet for a month and went gluten free, I tried Liberté Greek Yogurt, and ever since then I`ve been hooked! I started making these berry bowls first as a dessert and then as an on the go snack, and then most recently, as a healthy breakfast. Here are 2 of my favourite recipes and one of the very first recipes I fell in love with!

Berries, Flax and Yogurt Bowl

 Plain Greek Yogurt with Flax and Strawberries

  •                 ¾ of coconut or vanilla Greek Liberté yogurt or other organic Greek yogurt

  •                 4-5 medium size fresh strawberries- sliced, or raspberries or blueberries

  •                 1 tbsp ground flaxseed

Put Greek yogurt in a bowl, followed by adding the ground flaxseed. Mix. Add strawberries, raspberries or blueberries to bowl and mix.

Tip: If you want to take it on the go, just mix the yogurt and flaxseed in a container or small jar. Once mixed add the strawberries or other fruit on top and close the lid. Its already to go for when your out and about.


Chocolate Yogurt Delight (serves 1)

 Need: 1 tablespoon of cocoa powder (preferably one with less sugar or no sugar)
 1 cup of liberté vanilla or coconut or plain yogurt
 half scoop of whey protein or chocolate Shakeology (optional)
 1 tablespoon of chopped nuts (I used sliced almonds and pecan pieces in this picture)
 Stir all the ingredients together and enjoy!

Tip: If you want this as a breakfast and want more calories in the morning, add some oats in this.

Here it is: Berry-Banana Flax with Bee Polen

1 Banana-sliced
Bee pollen
1-2 tbsp ground flax seed
3/4 cup of Vanilla/coconut/plain Greek Liberté yogurt

Put yogurt in a bowl with flax seed. Mix.
Place banana slices in bowl in a circular pattern until they cover the yogurt. Add raspberries and bee pollen.
*Note: Don`t use bee pollen if allergic to bees.
